You keep saying this and it simply isn't true. His marketability and thus his wealth is directly linked to competing in the most viewed league in the world. Nobody believes he doesn't want to play at the top and pick up a trophy or two anyway, but that line of reasoning is flawed.
I've said it twice, and until someone puts figures on the table that other clubs are offering, I'm not sure how I can come to any other conclusion. If Azhni offer him £50k week more than none else, and an extra two years on his contract, and 13% tax, I struggle to believe anyone could compete.
Anyway, that wasn't the point - rather its all the ridiculous second-guessing in this thread. I have no idea how much of it's about trophies as and how much about money. In all likelihood it's both, to some degree, and without sounding like I know his mind better than he does, I can't say any more than that.
