It's as low as low can possibly be. I told my Manc brother 2 days ago that for me it would be the final straw and "if Wenger sells Van Persie to United then I'm finished with Arsenal until there is a new owner and a new manager."
He told me of course I wouldn't be, and he was right of course. It's devastating, but in many ways I actually feel quite relieved. We've had 7 years of let downs in what seemed like a bottomless pit, but we have finally reached the bottom. There's no way it gets worse than selling your captain to United so I'm looking forward to things getting better from now.
I'm also thankful that Wenger and the board went out and signed replacements early and also that this is done earlybefore the season. So we don't have to wait until 31st August when we're 17th in the league for anything to get done. Really does feel like a new era and a completely new team now.
