Here's a bit of divining from me- No one not even City want to pay what we're asking for the injury prone 29 year old with only a year left, and we're not about to let him go for a pittance so he might have to see out his contract.

Well, if he stays, we have a hedge - either his star falls considerably next season, and we get to re-sign him at a more moderate price or not care too much about releasing him, or it doesn't, in which case we get another great season from him.

So we might as well hold out for a decent fee for now. He should be a £20m player. Not too many miles on him given how long he's spent in the pits.

Shouldn't have made that statement, could have happily played both sides and (most) fans would have been able to look past it if he ended up signing a new contract here. Would have still retained captaincy as well.

It would be great if he stayed another season, if we are serious about challenging we need to have a striker who will guarantee 20+ goals. Unless an offer in excess of 20 million comes i would prefer he stay and run out his contract. And by the end of next season he will be 30 and i doubt he will be able to get his 200k a week contract.

If he stays I don't think it will be about signings so much as how surprisingly lukewarm the interest in him has been. You can understand why he and his agent thought there would be serious interest from big clubs across Europe willing to offer big deals. But that hasn't been the case. The only club that seems to really want him is Juventus who are in the middle of yet another embarassing scandal.

I'm not fussed about what happens to Robin this summer. The main loss will be economical if he decides to stay. He'll pick up his mandatory injury soon enough anyway and Podolski will replace him.

Would much prefer if he lost the armband meanwhile though. I don't give a toss about nonsense concepts like "captains" and "strong leaders on the pitch", but it is a symbol for the club and it should be worn by players who want to play for us.

I think vpersie Song and Walcott Diaby are the only remaining youth project players from 06 remaining, looks like we brought a bunch of cunts back then. Now at least with all the players we have brought over the age of 23 in the past year they will be giving the prime of their career to arsenal.
