The big bad Scottie Parker shitness thread
he really is an awful player
That tackle by Kuyt and De Jong! Someone, a .gif please!
I did feel sorry for him as he genuinely looked hurt.
He really just plays a simple low risk ball then doesn't move
That was easily the highlight of the game for me.
That, and how easy Holland restored order after taking a nap for 15 minutes and letting England equalize.
What a strange little kit. Throw some red shorts on or something. Looks unfinished. Like underwear even
I love how even Dules' Engerland bit doesn't extend to Parker

Same here. Of all the Spurs players to dislike he's pretty far down my list, and yet seemed to get the most abuse here during the match.
I still can't believe Parker is the reigning Football Writers' PotY. It's absolutely ridiculous.
And he captained England last night!
The only thing funnier than that is that Stuart Pearce managed England last night!
He's got the worst hair in the Premier League. Can't understand why he doesn't just keep it short.
It's brilliant hair!

Or Gareth Barry still getting picked.
Or Stewart Downing still getting picked.
James Milner too
I am mostly disappointed that there still isnยดt a .gif around on Kuyt and De Jongยดs tackle on Parker.
I love the way be tried to stare the microphone down just after he landed on it.
Landing on the microphone, and the face he makes, is just the perfect ending of that sandwich tackle!
- Heey mic, say hello to my little friends...
Think Samuel is spot on with that. England are missing a trick big time. Capello telling him to "hug the touchline" and punishing him when he strayed from it by not picking him for the World Cup was an embarrassment.
Owen was such an exciting player back then.
I remember being completely stunned when he scored that goal against Argentina. Electric moment.
We were the best team at 98
It's not just Capello, practically every one who has worked with Walcott has played him out wide.
But he should drift in more and get himself one v one against the keeper, for a player with his finishing ability and pretences of being a striker I don't think his movement is good enough. He should be getting in with a couple of great chances every game if he ever wants to be a 20 goal player.
You can't judge Walcott's movement as a striker based on how he moves as wide player. The two roles are totally different and he has to waste a lot of energy and concentration on covering his fullback and keeping shape. Regardless I think his movement is incredibly dangerous and always has been.
And Capello told him to hug the touchline at all times, he once screamed at Walcott in training that he would "kill" him if he moved off the touchline one more time. Wenger gives him a little more freedom than that.
Ricky, are you sure that's why Capello left him? Or maybe because he's just not that good a player. Watch the NLD again. Theo's two goals were fantastic and gave the team a lot of energy, but of our attackers, he was probably the least impactful apart from the goals. if anything, in the first half he was downright frustrating. RVP was constantly involved, getting good chances. Had 4 excellent chances in the first half alone. Rosicky was playing like a man on fire, constantly demanding the ball, distributing, playing one-twos, getting into the box. You look at Walcott throughout the game and realize that he was anonymous or destructive. But he scored 2 goals. If I was a manager, I'd be incredibly frustrated with Theo because he's such a high beta player, across the season and even within games.
And that's simply done to the fact that his game hasn't developed that well. When he's running in/to space, and getting on the end of passes and given room to shoot, he's devastating. But in just about every other facet, there are significant development gaps. This is why Capello dropped him
Ricky's right. He was dropped because he didn't follow instructions in a couple of friendly games during the build up to the World Cup. Prior to that he was a nailed on starter for 2 years.
Capello has also susbsequently admitted leaving him out was a mistake.
that would be a silly reason to drop a player if you had full confidence in him
do you guys remember Walcott leading up to the World Cup?
Shaun Wright-Phillips went to the world cup instead. There was no logic.
Quality tekkers!
Exceptional technique!
Mad skills!
Dive.
The day England can wake up to have a team built around Rooney, Oxlade, Wilshere and Cleverly will be a good day for that country. Even Young and possibly Sturridge could play a useful road going forward around that core. We'll call them the platinum generation.
Whereยดs my .gif people?
Disappointed I still havenยดt got me a .gif of that Kuyt+De Jong tackle, but this pic certainly belongs here.
The manยดs face...
Quite the dive from the midfield "hardman" right there.
He went all bad guy coulda been a contender Scottie today
That last picture! "I'm warning you! Kick me four-five times more and I'll start to lose it!"
Seriously what is it about him?
Makes my sides hurt from laughing he does.
Can't believe they managed to top no neck palacios so well. Should have just go Wilson those wing mirrors lol
