It varies from game to game, depending how the game itself is going. The Huddersfield game I was at, as an example, Koscielny was noticeably more aggressive than he was in the Ipswich game, which I also got a close look at him in. He was the more dominant of the two centrebacks, Squillaci very much playing off of him, Djourou is invariably the guy that challenges for the first header, marks the biggest guy at set-pieces, etc.
I suppose the very good understanding Djourou and Koscielny have makes a big difference too, and like you say, the two Frenchman don't have that.
