I like Diaby because he gives us something different. He is extremely inconsistent and lacks awareness but is like Walcott, in that he has attributes which give him the ability to do something special and influence a game. We have a number of top quality players but most of them are highly technical footballers and the potency of our attack depends a lot on all those players being on top of their game. We are like a machine which is not as productive when even a part is not functioning optimally. Players like Diaby and Walcott can make something out of nothing simply because of their respective strengths which can be very helpful on a bad day. None of them are Henry who rescued us so many times with his supreme skill but add something to our game anyways.
I wonder so many times what Diaby would be if not for Dan fucking Smith.
