“He got kneed in his thigh. But he can play with Arsenal again this weekend,” confirmed van Marwijk.
From Gooner Talk
Sounds like he's okay.
He was assessed by the Dutch physios. I wouldn't be surprised if they examined the wrong leg or something...
With RvP we're always waiting for the inevitable, its never a surprise when he gets injured.
Initial reports said it was his ankle :hmm::confused:
Just get him back to London fast before they do anymore damage to him.
Surprised he wasn't injured in the first game the way the Hungarians were going through them.

"With a little luck" worries me. Luck doesn't exist in the Arsenal universe.
Any new news on van Persie?
Fabregas, Song, Walcott and Diaby all back
“[Fabregas, Song, Walcott and Diaby] will all be available,” said the manager. “I have not decided if they will start the game yet but they will all be available. “Van Persie has a good chance too. He has a final assessment tomorrow but we believe he will be fit. It is a bruised knee. “Nicklas Bendtner is in the same situation. He will have a test tomorrow on his ankle and we’ll see. “In fact, we have a few players with tests tomorrow – Ramsey with his groin, Bendtner with his ankle, Van Persie with his knee. I will make a decision after training in the morning.

Denilson is definitely out with a toe problem though. Can we cope?
Good stuff. When was the last time we fielded the so called 'super six'?
Stoke at home?
Think both Theo and Cesc got injured in that game and that signalled the start of our downfall. Let's hope getting them back will start a rise that will end up with us lifting the PL trophy come May.
Robin was out for that one, must have been Barca at home.
Great news. This international break could turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
Frimpong back and playing for the reserves.

Tweeted by Johan himself, so I guess he approves.
I saw the original article in the Mail and it looked as if they had confused Szczesny and Djourou to me. Will try to find the article.
Not the Mail, but I think the story originated from the Metro, and they definitely took something Szczesny said and claimed Djourou had said it.
Djourou explained to the club's television channel at the time: 'There's not a lot of joint damage, the tendon is ruptured, so basically I have to keep my finger in a splint for four weeks and let the tendon heal. 'From then, it will be a couple of weeks before I can be back in the squad.' Wenger is already looking for players to bolster his defensive ranks next season, with German international Per Mertesacker, who is available for transfer from his current club Werder Bremen in the summer, being the number one target.
Wow that's Olympicly poor journalism - and editing.
Any news on Al's injury?
Apparently Szczesny is in line for a return next week. Saw it in Wenger's post match interview.
Sweet. Hope Djourou's back soon, too.
