physioroom

We currently have on our list:

Sagna
Gibbs
Vermaelen
Walcott
Van Persie
Frimpong
Ramsey

Better than a week or so ago, though Sagna is a big blow. Also read that RvP is close.

Let's hope it doesn't grow after the int'l matches.

something is wrong with our training regimen or our physios (or both). there have been complaints about the physios from some of our players, so that could be it, but it doesn't explain why the injuries happen in the first place. i'm pretty sick of it.

According to a few different sources, Fabregas, Walcott, Bendtner and perhaps van Persie will all return to the squad for the Birmingham game.

Some good news on Vermaelen some time soon and we'll all be smiling.

Those are great pictures of Aaron. Brought a big fat cheesy smile to my face.

It's wonderful to see Aaron running around. Can't believe it was just a short while back that they tried to break him. I really hope he can get back to where he was within a year. He will be critical once Fabregas goes home

Bendtner and Gibbs back. Walcott might feature. Fabregas, Almunia, Sagna and Almunia about 10 days away. RvP is going to be a bit longer.

Injury News

Wenger said Fabregas could be back for Tuesday night.

I'll be watching keenly to see how Wenger accommodates Bendtner. I wonder where he lies in the pecking order. Our never ending injuries may resolve the problem... otherwise there'll be serious congestion in the forward spots.

True, but I reckon it may be best to get him fully fit for the City game. No point rushing him out only to get injured again. Doubt we'll struggle against Shaktar at home and it might be best to get him to start preparing for next weekend where he'll definitely be needed to get past that defensive wall they have in the middle of the park.

I really thought Cesc would be back for Saturday 🙁

Bit confused about the Cesc situation, as Arseblogger said he was close to playing two weeks ago and now he's short for Saturday? Odd. but perhaps they've picked something up in training, also doesn't make much sense to rush him back with City on the horizon. The fact that we've got Nicky B, Keiran G and possibly Theo back should be enough of a shot in the arm on Saturday.

Cesc also tweeted two days after the Chelsea game, saying that if the game had been that day, he would've been fit to have played.

Unbelievable the amount of injuries we suffer and so many of them tend to be key players.

Really great to see Ramsey back, he was turning into some player before he was sidelined.

So, we now have Koscielny out, along with Vermaelen who's no closer to a return, Sagna, and Van Persie could be out for another 4 weeks.

We will never come close to a fully fit squad.

Fucking typical. We can never catch a break (no pun intended). Every time someone ocmes back we have someone else taking his place in the treatment room.

6 days later

Wenger just explained the reasoning behind our injury problems as being down to bad luck and bad tackling whilst saying out medical team is top notch. Any thoughts?

we currently have:

M Almunia
T Vermaelen
R Van Persie
E Frimpong
A Ramsey

Al will be back in another week or so.. RvP and Ramsey will be 3-4 more weeks, and TV is unknown.. its not a huge list anymore.. Kos may or may not be back for this game, but if not this game, certainly the next... Sagna is back...

as for Wenger, we do have our fair share of injuries that are due to bad tackles and international games.. TV, RvP (previously) and Theo have all been hurt on int'l duty..

Unfortunately I can see Vermaelen being on that list for a while.... and RVP?
He'll probably make a return to the treatment room before the New Year.

On the plus side it's great to see that Cesc, Theo and Bendy are back and we can look forward to seeing Ramsey sometime in November?

Rumours circulating that Vermaelen's out for the season. More ITK's seem to think February/March. Wenger at the AGM said it's "long term".
