If Wenger wants to buy a kid, this is the sort of talent we should be looking at (and not another tippa tappa). A physical specimen like this with as much talent as Romelu has, does not appear everyday.

I know what you mean, and my preference is always for the magician. A truly great team has to consist of both, though.

It'll never be that similar to basketball unless they make the goal ten yards wider. Basketball's a war of attrition. Looking at Lukaku, however, you wonder if he's ever caught the eye of an NBA scout.

I have always said it and I have never hidden it, but it is not because Chelsea is my favourite team that I have to go there. There is also Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. These big five are very interesting. Tottenham are also a good club.

Spurs seem an afterthought. I like this guy even if he has Chelsea at the top.

Anyway, would be a shame to miss out on this guy. We continue to be in need of a striker, and everything I've seen of Lukaku suggests he's the real deall.

If Villa can stump up 23 million pounds for Bent and Makoun, I don't see why we can't throw at a player who has the potential to be better than those two put together. C'mon Arsene. Put a hammer through yer piggy bank

Anderlecht have just come out and said that Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea are in "the race" to sign Lukaku.

Their valuation is 30m euro (26m). We wouldn't pay that for Jesus let alone a 17 year old, I'd question the wisdom of any club that did to be honest.

Agreed, Wenger only overpays for youngsters but even he would baulk at such a price and rightly so.

Never really seen the big deal with the lad other than his physical attributes. Could easily be the next Heskey if you ask me, then again I've barely seen him.

he'd have to be incredibly skilled with the ball in his hands, good shooter, finisher to ever catch their eye. he's big for a footballer, but would be a small perimeter player in the NBA.

True, he's only 6'3" ... truth be told I thought he was taller than that. 6'3" is normal height really.
