It was all a con and just goes to show how much of a shambles football is now.

I have every confidence that Qatar will solve the stadium problem. It will be fine in the stadiums. The big problems will be
1) training camps. teams will have to set up relatively far for their training camps. I doubt Dubai and Saudi Arabia will be providing sufficient air-conditioned pitches for training camps. Also, will there be sufficient air-conditioned training facilities throughout the tourney for 32 teams?
2) When the game is over and fans leave those chilled stadiums, they will pass out as they step into 50 degree heat. Part of the joy of a world cup is hanging out in the streets and enjoying the city's restaurants, clubs, women and markets. Will all that be air-conditioned as well?

I just flew back home two days ago, changing from 15 degree weather to 32 degree weather. I've been suffering. I can't imagine enjoying myself in 40 degree weather between games.

Was bored so checked out a Scum sight to see their take on the Twitchy for England deal. Naturally they are not happy, and most think he will take the job.

Now, what was interesting was that someone started to post England line ups. NONE of them had King in their starting line up. Found that a bit weird tbh.

Cali, there will be no air conditioning.
😆 One of your problems solved right there!

King's pretty much a no go unfortunately. He's the best we have, imagine if he actually trained.

Would you have him in the squad though and play him like every other game?

What 4 centrebacks would you take Skip?

Terry, Rio, Lescott, King. All Redknob´s boys...

Nah, I wouldn't risk it, you need players who can guarantee a job for the few weeks..

Not sure really. Rio is broken and Terry is going to be a cancer again. Beyond those two there's not much; Smalling and Lescott..?

Jags and Cahill?

I'd take Smalling and Jagielka definitely. I'd rather have Rio than Terry, and I wouldn't want both. Last place is a crapshoot between Cahill, Lescott and Jones.

Would have thought Dawson or King will go if dodgy Arry's in charge.

Cahill and Terry are probably certainties, and I reckon will be the starters. With Ferdinand, if he's fit, and then either Dawson or King.

🙂 or he might try coax Carragher out of his international retirement.

Whoever gets the England job - if he, or she, takes Terry in the squad he/she is mental.

🙂 Carra is a triffic player!

Ideally I'd like King and Smalling as first choice.

If they're smart, they'll use the opportunity to more or less make a clean break from 'the golden generation'. Get people like Welbeck, Smalling and Cleverly involved and cut some of the deadwood. Don't make this a swansong for the old boys as I imagine Capello would have.

Doesn´t it bother you that not even Tottenham fans have King in their preferred line up?
