I have every confidence that Qatar will solve the stadium problem. It will be fine in the stadiums. The big problems will be
1) training camps. teams will have to set up relatively far for their training camps. I doubt Dubai and Saudi Arabia will be providing sufficient air-conditioned pitches for training camps. Also, will there be sufficient air-conditioned training facilities throughout the tourney for 32 teams?
2) When the game is over and fans leave those chilled stadiums, they will pass out as they step into 50 degree heat. Part of the joy of a world cup is hanging out in the streets and enjoying the city's restaurants, clubs, women and markets. Will all that be air-conditioned as well?
I just flew back home two days ago, changing from 15 degree weather to 32 degree weather. I've been suffering. I can't imagine enjoying myself in 40 degree weather between games.
