I do happen to think Dzeko has the potential to be one of the best forwards around, but he's the type that needs a long run of games for a team to adapt to him. I still remember him giving Vidic and Ferdinand a battering at Old Trafford for Wolfsburg a few years ago.

Then remembered the injuries, the knees, the age but still...
Ooo don't know. Tiote would probably be more sensible, but still we probably have more of a realistic chance of signing Essien.

wouldnt mind tiote tbh. if wengers after a 'completely defensive' signing we could do worse. he's a lump, but he's a good ball winner and can pick a simple short pass well.

Hey I wanted us to spend £10m on loaning Sahin for a year, I could not care less about value purchases really.

Funny you should say that, because his style is amazingly similar to Persie's (albeit with a few negatives and positives obviously). Could be a good move based on that alone.

id prefer a more technically capable player, but signing tiote does have knock on effects in terms of lessening the defensive burden on arteta, who cant be our only ball winner for the whole season. besides most of these poxy epl midfields only understand brute force, and tiote speaks that language fluently.

Tiote is no Xabi Alonso but he's a tidy passer too, knows his limits, keeps it simple. He'd just be winning balls and laying it off to a Spaniard.
