Certain we knew of all of these players when in France. Wenger even said as much ahead of the Newcastle game. Had it not been for this stupid 25 man squad rule I can see us taking a punt on a players like Tiote and Cabaye.

They'll have a CL qualifier next season to look forward to. No one will steal their players for a while.

I read somewhere that we were looking into Nicolas Gaitan, by the way. I don't remember where and I can't be arsed to google for the link but has anyone seen him? Seem to recall that some people in here watch Benfica regularly. I believe he's the top provider in Champions League this season with 5 assist to his name.

He pulled a Theo in the two Chelsea games. Completely anonymous bar a few moments early in the 1st game. Was very disappointing, mainly going down Chelsea's weaker right flank.

Apparently hes had a great impact but wasn't rotated and is burnt out like Silva and Gervinho. So hes offering far less than hes capable of at the moment.

I stopped reading that article when I realized they don't respect the Kosh. Kosh is top notch. Right now center back is not a top priority. Wenger attended to it by getting 1 good CB each of the last 3 seasons.

Dutch gooners, what does he look like on a week-to-week basis? Would he come in and be Theo level or we still talking sub-Chambo production for next year?

I certainly don't get them when a journo says that we want Vertonghen and M'Vila. I think if we are after Vertonghen, Wenger sees him as an option at CB and midfield.

Getting one of those lads, Podolski and another quality attacker in would be a great summer imo.

i think ramsey getting shunted out wide lately reflects wenger's conclusion that he's regressed a bit, and he's trying to get him back to basics out wide, where he has more time on the ball. i hope and more or less expect ramsey to return to form next season, but part of me wonders whether getting a leader like m'vila would be a masterstroke.
