I think those two will be our summer reinforcements as far as ready first teamers go. It just makes sense. We might pick up a goalkeeper or a midfielder too if we find a bargain.

Giroud would be weird. He's been great this season sure, but he's strictly a CF, and if we were to keep Robin then he'd be sitting on the bench waiting for sub roles and cup matches. There's no way he'd agree to that - especially if he goes to the Euros this summer (and I think he will).

He's what Chamakh should have been. Somebody who will head them in all day for us, but Montpellier's game is very cross-heavy, so I agree that I don't think we're the ideal team for him.

I expect him to get offers from clubs who will give him a first XI spot as well, so there's that. I don't see this happening whatsoever.

He's scored some absolute peaches with his feet this season though. He's got a very powerful shot. What's surprised me most is how sound technically he is for a guy of his size.

I agree that he'll probably kill his career if he goes to Arsenal and sits on the bench for two or three years but who knows really. I can see why Wenger would be interested in him.

Looked a bit raw when I saw him. I'd leave him if we sign Podolski and have Park as third choice or even Theo if we move to 4-4-2.

Giroud looks like a pretty average player, slow & immobile.. Definitely not the kind of striker we need

Giroud is brilliant. He's your typical target man but he's got great technique. Montpellier are where they are in Ligue 1 largely because of him and Belhanda.

They seem to have acknowledged that they fucked up last summer badly (for once), and are making moves to remedy the situation. Of course, if we finish outside of the top four, they have to make the biggest 'signing' they have in almost two decades.

He has half a decade of negligence to make up for. One Podolski will not do it. Needs to bring in a Kagawa and an M'Vila to escape my vitriol come August. Until he does, Wenger is the enemy.
