Yeah, it was. He apologised for it too, like a man. Not exactly his greatest moment but he's a fair player normally. Always tries to play the ball. I think Italy wanted to appeal the three-match ban he received for that elbow but De Rossi accepted the punishment.

Dont watch a lot of Italian football, but everytime I have seen him play i have been impressed. One of the only few players who i would call a complete midfielder after Vieira. They don't make them like that anymore.

I have similar hopes from our Coquelin. Am i wrong in saying that he could be turned into a player like De Rossi, Klaus?

He was shite yesterday but I always though N'Zonzi was a bit like that. Big strong lad that puts himself about and out muscles people but he's not dirty.

Scott Parker is the sort of player who tackles hard but isn't dirty but I think he has the modern problem for tackling mids in that he'll put it about but doesn't take it without throwing himself down and looking for things.

I'm not sure what Coquelin reminds me of. I'm convinced he'll turn out a great player though.

He was classy with that needle and nous to know what it took to win. Very admirable. It was more cynical stuff as opposed to acts which put opponents in danger.

Baresi was a scumbag. I loved him. Would purposefully rake his studs down the back of a centre forwards leg, then help him up all apologetically and ask him how he was.
