i don't get why people can't watch matches objectively. we created maybe 2 chances all match (gervinho to van persie, arshavin's underhit cross - vermaelen's shots weren't really clear chances). city had 4 or 5 situations where they were through on goal or had 2v1's, scenarios where they cut through our defence. if not for some poor final balls from nasri and richards, and some fantastic saves from chesney, a luck-neutral result might've been 3-1.
it was a very close match considering we were away to the best team in the league, and 1-0 was a fair scoreline, but i felt city was sharper in their attacking third and created more, and better chances than we did. of course, a draw would've been fair as well, since you do actually have to take your chances, but my takeaway from this game is that our midifield and defence compares well with anyone in the league, but we need an injection of attacking quality.
