Totti was in no way, shape or form a waste of talent.

because he never went to Real or Barca. That's Golden Ball talk right there, Klaus.
Yeah, I got the implication. But really. He's scored more and assisted more than anyone else in Serie A during the past decade. He looks dead-on to end his career as the second greatest goalscorer in Italy's history. It's not really his fault that the club he happens to love isn't particularly good. He's the biggest attacking Italian player since Baggio.
That's as close to blasphemy as you come round these parts.
Not to mention it's too ridiculous to even respond to, although I'm glad Klaus did.
Not sure Balotelli is a waste of talent anyhow.
Qualified comedian and obviously good for a bit of a laugh every now and then, the numpty.
A couple of days ago, the guys at Sky presented their team of 2011 (not 2011/12). It read thusly..
----------------- Hart -----------------
Richards -- Kompany -- Vidic -- Bale
Nani ---- Toure ---- Parker ---- Silva
-------- Rooney ---- van Persie -------
What you think of this as a 2011 team? Aguero and Ba would be unlikely to be eligible as they have not been contributing long. In general, I find it agreeable.
Ba did okay for West Ham and he's only score a goal or two less than Rooney in 2011 with the latter being quite streaky. Harsh. Can't argue with the rest of that team though.
Can't be arsed to comment on that team when they line up in a formation that is only used by one or two teams in the whole league.
Has Bale even played at LB this season?
Not any more than David Silva has played left wing.
I would have Song and Kos The Boss in my team ahead of Parker and Vidic. In a 4-3-3 I wouldn't have room for Rooney either.
You could argue against Kos' inclusion based on the second half of last season; not many of our lot showered themselves in glory in that particular period.
Chesney, Ba, Modric and Song would merit inclusions.
With two games left, I doubt much will change. Here is my team of the season.
Cisse ------ Rooney ------ van Persie
-------- Silva -------- Cabaye --------
---------------- Toure -----------------
Cole - Kompany - Koscielny - Walker
---------------- Hart -------------------
You will notice that there are no wingers. I don't give places to players who haven't earned them. Walcott, Nani, Bale and the lot don't deserve to be here. Felt bad about leaving out Valencia, but if Fergie can do it, so can I.
Honorable mentions: Valencia, Sagna, Song, Aguero, Tiote, Mata, Dempsey, Modric

Good call Qs.

is the gap between kompany and the 2nd best defender the biggest among all the positions?
does richards even start for city these days? or was he hurt all this time. that zabaletta dude seems to be playing a ton during the business end of the season.
I think the gap between Mata and the second best attacking midfielder is bigger. Silva had a few great months but he's done fuckall this side of Christmas. No one has performed consistently apart from the Chelsea dwarf.
Oh.
Saddest thing is that every year you have to include Ashley Cole without even thinking. :gah:
