Villas-Boas is a man appointed for all the wrong reasons.
Abramovich tried to unfuck his fuckup in sacking Mourinho by taking him to Chelsea, because he had trophies under his belt from Porto, and had supposedly learnt Mourinho's forensic methods of tactical analysis.
Now Spurs have appointed him because they were angry with Redknapp, needed a replacement from a limited pool, and so opted for the politically safe choice of a guy who'd previously been appointed by a top club, even though that appointment was a disaster.
Spurs would not have taken him straight from Porto.
And more and more it looks as if AVB's own successes at Porto were more than half a result of having good players around him.
If you get a job by way of magical thinking, you can expect to lose it if you don't perform magic. If he gets sacked again, AVB should wise up and stop walking into these situations.
