I really don't get the van der Vaart love. He's a good player, no doubt, but he's also an overweight, unfit, streaky, Arshavin-esque, lazy bastard. Can't run, can't play 90 minutes, can't play 3 games in a week, shit in at least half the games he does play, mediocre stats - I wouldn't want him at Arsenal in a month of Sundays. Flaky prima donna.

Assou-Ekotto and Modric are fair enough, I wouldn't include them, but I can see why you would. I just don't get the vdV thing at all.

In general our first team is better in every position, but if I were to make a composite team based upon this season's performance, I would have several tottenham players in it; all of the wide positions and maybe Modric. Ledley King would have been a shoe in before but has been terrible for a while now.

Agree completely on VDV, he's a classic Spurs AM, highly overrated.
