One of the only things I've heard this January , was how Wenger would like the January transfer window to be abolished and all that rubbish, plus his BS comment on LB. Stopped paying attention to any rumours after that, not shocked that we barely did any signings.

We wouldn't do any transfers if there were no windows. We'd just endlessly wait the selling party out, until the player in question either retired or was released.

Wenger would like all transfers abolished "to level ze playing field."

Quite, you can also leave players to train with the reserves should you have the means.

I actually agree with Wenger :o on this one. Both in the context of the 25 man rule and the the fact that I really like the idea that you start and finish a season with the same players.

Now, I am not an idiot though. With the rules we have in place, you´d be a fool not to use them as best you can to your advantage.

It was either that the transfer window should be abolished altogether or should remain open throughout the season/longer.

2+2=5 obviously but I'm still keeping fingers crossed.

Wengers take in why there was no spending in the Jan window, seems valid.

I'm actually happy about this 25man squad rule, works in our favour against the big clubs who can stockpile talent.. l hope this forces AW it to being more selective of who we hand out contracts too. How Denilson still has 2 years left on his contract is beyond me.. I fine with us signing up a load of youngsters but we need to be a bit more efficient when getting rid of the ones that arnt good enough. Only the elite crop should be handed contracts after age 19/20 and this rule should force that. Quality over quantity.
