Channel 4, tonight at 8PM.

Antony Barnett investigates the use of recreational and performance-enhancing substances in the nation's favourite sport. Along the way, he examines football's drugs-testing regime, raises questions about action taken against those found guilty of substance abuse, and highlights some of the many unusual - but perfectly legal - treatments players undergo.

The programme claims top players are testing positive for illegal drug use and that their clubs and football's governing bodies are keeping it under wraps.

They're also reportedly going to 'out' a "top Premier League footballer" in tonight's show.

A top Premier League footballer who tested positive for cocaine is set to be named tonight in a Channel 4 investigation into drug use among soccer stars.
The player, who will be exposed in the channel's Dispatches, completed a β€˜multi-million-pound’ transfer without the buying club knowing he had tested positive for cocaine.
The sportsman is among dozens of English professional footballers who will be named and shamed for failing out-of-competition drug tests that have never been made public by the FA.

From the Daily Mail

Rosicky's hoping they limit the naming and shaming to English players! πŸ˜†

Might be worth a watch.

P.S - I'm merely including this picture of Rio Ferdinand because it was in the Daily Mail article. No other reason at all. Cough cheat cough πŸ™‚

I just heard that the "top Premier League footballer" that's to be outed has just completed a transfer and that his new club are oblivious to his habit.
:hmm::hmm:

Yeah, it says the same it that excerpt above, Y. I bet it's happened dozens of times though, however shocking it seems.

It's going to be someone shit and unimportant.

Wait a sec? They keep drugs inside the football? That's brilliant

and in such a rush to post what I'd just heard that I forgot to read all of Ricky's post πŸ˜†

Anyway, drugs in football? Where's the evidence?

That pic is disturbing in so many ways πŸ˜†

Even more so was that goal celebration incident involving Reyes back when he was playing for Seville. Anyone remember that?

When someone ate his nuts? πŸ˜†

Yeah, that was one of the OMG moments of football I'd ever seen. Still don't get what it was all about.

Looks like David James was doing something dodgy at Portsmouth, under Mr.Dodgy himself, Harry "triffic" Redknapp.
