It's about 50 times more dangerous than anyone admits, though the Government there has changed so it may get better. One resort on the beach they found 100 dead under the sand. The 'war' on drugs was actually a war on the Mexican economy by the good ol' USA.
When I first arrived it was so hard to buy a gun that was not bent like a banana ... 5 years later and Millions of guns now flood the market .... all American. Mexicans don't need any excuses to have a gun battle though.
Such a wonderful country. Pity about it all. YES. I do miss tacos big time.
