Hi All,

Been a lurker for a long time.

Been an Arsenal fan since 2003. Funny story how I became a fan.
My brother got a jersey as I was a fan of wearing Football Jerseys (though all I ever knew about football was watching the original Ronaldo). The jersey he got for me bore the name Arsenal and I was not even aware of who/what Arsenal were and to do justice to that I started watching Arsenal games on TV. And the year they go unbeaten playing majestic football. King Henry remains to this day my favorite ever, something to his game that I love more than I did Ronaldo's.

I can relate to your story as I chose to become a Gooner in the summer of '77, and that first season we made the FA Cup Final for 3 years in a row.

One of my favourite movies ever, and possibly Travolta's best role. Not a lot to choose from of course. Dennis Farina is great. "The fuckin airport". You barely notice that line but it's one of my favourites.

Lol - I didn't mind Robson's Ipswich - particularly when we later signed Talbot and Mariner,
but I couldn't stand the press fawning over Brooking & WHam.

'79 is still one of my favourite memories as a Gooner and makes me smile every time I think about it.

Wow, lots of familiar names around here, hello everyone!

I've been a member over at AM for a few years now, but got bored with the constant breakdowns. Now that it's sort of recovered, most people seem to have left - apparently to this place. I didn't know this forum existed so I'm pretty chuffed. Got my account activated in time for the NLD as well.

I'm Swedish and live in Stockholm. I moved to London to party when I was 22 and ended up staying 10 years. Between pints and pills I managed to fall in love with a girl and the Arsenal. Both seem to be true love as well because I still watch every game I possibly can 15 years later and the girl now lives with me here in Stockholm.

I don't know very much about football to be honest, I'm just here for the banter.

I beg to differ Pep, having more will actually have the effect of forcing them to struggle amongst themselves for our (very limited) attention span on Swedish cultural matters, in fact (along with Kel) I wish we had more Danes and Finns- I do love me a good Scando bitchfight. ;D
