Spain's is basically Barca+, wins hands down, England-Germany is close. France's team is decent, can't think of a RB and CB off the top of my head who stands out though.
Rod Fanni - unless he's moved on now
Nobody fancies Gareth Bale or Scott Parker then?

it's funny looking at the various leagues. i had difficulty finding central midfielders I was satisfied with for England, but had no problems with attackers and defenders. In Spain, defenders were in short supply, and I only really struggled with the Ramos vs Alves choice. I could have stuck in 2 or 3 more La Liga midfielders who would have easily made the Premier League team. And that reflects the difference in styles between the two leagues. Generally in La Liga, teams pass it around in midfield and look for play to be dictated from midfield, whereas in England a lot of the teams almost seem to bypass midfield when going forward, placing the playmaking burden on wingers or the No. 10.
Cool comparison. Spain would definitely be number 1 and England number 2. Tough choice for the rest but I would rate them like this. All 433 formation for fair comparison sake.
Spain - Casilias, Alves, Pique, Pepe, Marcelo, Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, Higuain, Ronaldo
England - Cech, Sagna, Vidic, Terry, Cole, Yaya, Wilshere, Nasri, Silva, Dzeko, Aguero
Germany - Neuer, Utchida, Hummels, Subotic, Lahm, Luis Gustavo, Schweinsteinger, Goetze, Kagawa, Gomez, Robben
Italy - Handanovic, Maicon, Chiellini, Thiago Silva, Nagatomo, De Rossi, Hernanes, Sneijder, Di Natale, Cavani, Pato
France - Lloris, Azpilicueta, Sakho, Lovren, Cissokho, M'Vila, Martin, Pastore, Hazard, Sow, Bastos
Holland - Issakson, VDW, Vertonghen Douglas, Pieters, Elm, Eriksen, Janssen, Wijnaldum, Janko, Toivonen
Actually I think Germany would shade it as third. Much more of a solid team plus talents like Usami, Son HM, Muller, Ribery, Kroos, Huntelaar, Holtby, Marin etc not even included. But then again, Italy have as much talents to pick from as well (e.g. Ilicic, Hamsik, Cambiasso, Lucio, Ibra, Montolivo, Jovetic, Vidal, Lavezzi just to name a few) so its quite hard to seperate them. France team is pretty decent too. Did a Holland one for fun just to compare how far they have fallen away. Quite a piss poor team.
No Rooney Clrnc?
Surprised to se De Rossi in so many Serie A teams. He's a brilliant player but he's had two right down mediocre seasons in a row now.
Do you like hernanes big k?
Love Hernanes. I think Boateng was the best midfielder last season though. Personally can't stand the cunt but he was as important to Milan as anyone else. Really found a way to make himself useful in-between the geniuses of Pirlo and Ibrahimovic. I was very surprised by how good his passing range was. Didn't think he had it in him.
You're telling me Kevin-Prince Boateng was the best midfielder in Serie A last season? Blimey.
He was the heart of the Milan midfield. Hernanes and Sanchez were better players, but they both played wide most of the time (in Sanchez case he even spent half the season playing as a support striker). Centrally, nobody was better than Boateng.
De Rossi wasn't mediocre for the last 2 years, last season yes but in 2009-2010, he was playing excellent along with Pizarro in mf.
He was excellent some of the time but Pizarro was the main man in 09/10, the one who made the team tick. Most romanistas have been frustrated with De Rossi for the past few seasons but they also acknowledge that his form is down to the lack of direction within the club more than anything else. They've got too many poor players and an unambitious board that won't reinvest properly in the team.

Boateng was immense. I thought about putting him and Hernanes in my Serie A team. Boateng is dynamite, and really versatile. I have seen Milan play him on the wing, at DM, support striker, AM and full back, and he's done well everywhere he's deployed
