Absolutely over the moon with this signing. Really didn't expect us to sign anyone to upgrade the starting 11. Not really seen much of him outside of the international tournaments to be fair, but we've been crying out for quality and experience in defence for a long time and this guy is just coming into his peak years and has been the first choice German international CB for the last few years and has 75 caps. Given the current stature of our club I don't think we possibly could have done any better than this. Just a pity it couldn't have been a month ago.
Also, 6 foot 6 in our team. 😆

You guys are too used to seeing headless whippets milling about, he's a central defender ffs! When and where to move is much more important than how fast. Tempo (knowing when to move fast and when to slow it down) is a major aspect thats being missing from our game for 5 years or so.
