Every time I've watched Santos play for Brazil I've scratched my head wondering how he gets in ahead of Marcelo. However, he's a dirty cunt, very tough and nasty, quick, strong, not a moron defensively, a good technical footballer, and, most importantly of all, not Armand fucking Traore!

Good signing who will give Gibbs a good run for his money, but he's no world beater. We badly, badly needed another left back though, so I'm pleased.

Gibbs is more talented but Santos is probably the more reliable right now.

Isn't Santos poor defensively, and good in attack? That would hardly be reliable, especially getting used to the PL. I hope what I've been reading is wrong though and he's better in defense.

But we'll take anyone now, so sadly it doesn't really matter I guess.
