I really think he would be excellent in a box-to-box role for us. Would give us the freedom to move Wilshere a bit further up the field too.

--------- Song ------ Montolivo -------
--------------- Wilshere ---------------
Walcott --------------------- Gervinho
-------------- van Persie --------------

That's a pretty good team. Then we'll pick up Hazard in january when Lille have been knocked out of Champions League.

Pick him and Hazard up

He's been rubbish this season along with the rest of Fiorentina but the quality is there. He's a steal as a bosman transfer but I don't think we need him anymore. He would just do what Arteta already does for us. He'll go to a top club in Italy in the summer instead. According to most rumours he's already got a deal trashed out with Milan since last summer.

We don't need him now that we have Arteta.

Probably not, but would like us to have an understandy to Arteta, not sure if any of our current crop are suited to the role

Understudy to Arteta? Reckon Ramsey should be that guy.

Not sure he has the fight in him. Prefer players with real passion and work rate combined with technique

Ramsey?

Arteta is Wilshere's understudy.

You think Ramsey will start over Arteta Captain? As in Song, Jack, Aaron first choice.[/code]

Could be, but maybe we'll play 442 alot more next year.

ok interesting, the only one i would probably have to play in the hole over Jack would be RvP

I think Wilshere and Rosicky will be our AMs next season. I really don't know where Ramsey will fit. He's just not Arsenal-like, even if his potential is huge.

What makes you say that? Ramsey for me is a complete midfielder who is good at both ends offensively and defensively and would fit in any team. This season was always going to be difficult for a 21 year old midfielder who had a horrific injury that made him miss whole of last season, but if he improves the consistency of his passing and effectiveness in front of goal he will be great for us. I think he will end up playing further on the pitch than Wilshere, with both of them interchanging a lot.

As for Montolivo, I don't think we will sign any midfielder this summer, there are more than enough options in the team and I can't see anyone leaving to make room.

His touch and general footwork isn't sharp enough to work in the kind of midfield system we're trying to perfect, in my opinion.
