That arguement has been put forth a number of times mate, with regards to players moving for higher wages and to fulfill their ambitions.
The former we can do nothing about but he obviously didn't leave for money. The latter i think he had every chance of accomplishing here at Arsenal Football Club as the captain. He appeared in a CL final, came very close to a title and was in a very competitive team, at one of the biggest clubs in Europe. It was a challenge but for the amount he claims to love this club i wonder if he questioned what more could he do when the team was down because he himself never rose above the rest when the chips were down.
I also don't see how the Cesc being just another employee arguement, or the same arguement presented for so many players can be equated with us normal men. Even if it does and if my boss has played a massive role in me being who i am, if my company's fortune depends on me staying, if every other employee looks upto me then i will shun a bigger offer from another company. I don't even know who to equate with the most important element in the whole piece, the fans.
Cesc is 24, not 28, he had time.
Anyways, i am just upset i guess, i really wish he had stayed, we would have had more of a chance of winning something.
