He's gone now, so who gives a fuck?

Agreed, just don't want people tainting Cesc for no good reason.

Cesc can go in peace. Best of luck to him.
The focus should be on Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke.

A very good interview from Fabregas. His interviews since his move should have cleared up a lot and shown that the man was moving for good intentions. I hope fans can get it out of their heads that he has screwed Arsenal by eliminating the opportunity for teams like City to bid for him. He says he was 'stagnating' and needed a new challenge. He's very respectful to Wenger and tries to change the negative perception Catalans have of our dear coach. In the end, you see a player who was loyal to Wenger but just wanted to go back home to the club he started with.

Even if it puts me at risk of a public stoning led by Brother Biggus, I will say it all sounds a bit romantic, and it's good to see that modern footballers are beholden to things other than Makhachkala money

But he did screw us Caligula. You should get that into your head; the rest falls into place very easily.

:hat:

We screwed Barca to get him here.

It's all swings and roundabouts and until we start winning trophies more players will screw us over.

It's a dog eat dog world.

Playing out of his skin again tonight. What hamstring mental issue?

There was no hamstring. He was just a cunt who didn't earn his money for 2 years.

Can we move this out of Arsenal talk now too?

Really just want to move on from a horrible summer.

You won't see many Barca fans calling him an inferior Iniesta anymore.

Haven't seen the game tonight, but he's the best midfielder in the world and won't take long to show that at Barcelona.

watching replay of spain v chile and fabregas' awareness and quickness of thought is just unbelievable. he could score 20 in la liga if barca start him - he offers so much off the ball going forward as well.

I'm pretty sure that in 3-4 years people will have completely forgotten about Xavi because of this kid. Cesc is something special. It would have been ideal if he was winning with us, but I'd also like to see him finish his career with the recognition he deserves as one of the truly outstanding midfielders of our generation. And just for the homie Biggus, fuck Barca.

people will wonder how wenger couldnt win anything with him.

btw, love how chile gave spain attitude. spain dont like it up 'em, and pretty funny to see midgets like david silva make half-hearted attempts to kick out at the likes of vidal before realising he'd get his head kicked in. ref was ridiculously biased in favour of spain, too. incidentally, didnt think vidal was anything special, but that was just one 1 game.

I wasn't blown away by Vidal in the few games I watched him either. Looks a good player, but not amazing by any means.

I reckon Cesc'll do at least 20/20 (goals and assists) at Barca in every year he's there, barring something unforeseen.

Overly dogmatic. With all the creativity that Fabregas offered, we just needed to be pragmatic and give him some players he could feed, and some players who would hustle for the ball and feed him the way Gattuso did Pirlo. Not this adolescent ballet we tried to stage. A bit of practicality would have made the most of that boy.

I think his goals and assists will have been shared all round by alot of Barca players. Xavi, Thiago, Messi, Villa, Iniesta, Pedro, Alexis would share all the goals and assists don't you think?

Player like Vidal wouldn't blow you away simply because he is very Flamini like. Does all the dirty works behind.

I haven't been overly impressed with Vidal every time I've seen him either
