He does. Hopefully he's up to it on the pitch, looks like he can't fail to be a success off it, in and around the club.

Didn't know he was an Arsenal fan, good stuff, let's get some more Arsenal DNA while we are at it.

The idea of him shoring up our central defence with Vermaelen has really grown on me throughout the day.

No more Squillaci or Djourou - massive relief that.

I'm delighted with this signing, but why wasn't it done a month ago?
The rape of Old Trafford might not have happened. 🙁

If this signals a complete change of direction from Wenger, abandonment of the high line, sitting deep then counter attacking when the time is right, less pointless passes, more wide and direct attacking, playing to the tempo of the game not trying to dictate it all the time, in short a total U-turn in style- I'll be left in quite a quandary like an old cold warrior whose former enemy has suddenly accepted his values and joined him.

I'll have to search for a new enemy, a new cause.

Eh? not me! when he mooted that he would retire last year many were delighted, blaming him for Wengers failure- but not me.

I got nothing against Mrs Doubtfire, he did a wonderful job guiding us to the CL.

Good signing.

Happy that we've added a couple of warriors to our backline.

Absolutely delighted with this! Excellent, excellent signing.
