Hazard and Chamberlain ahead of Gervais and Walcott, what a difference it would be to have to attacking wide players who plan further than just their next touch.

See thats the thing, when on form that team would probably do well but then the cover for them is atrocious and defensively we are crap so we wont stand a chance.

We are not crap defensively when we have our best players to choose from. Sagna is IMO the best FB in the league, Sneezey is already really good and will get even better, and I wouldn´t trade Kos and TV for any CBs in the league.

Yes individually we may have certain defenders who are top class but as a team we cant defend, song has some good some bad games and arteta is the only reliable midfielder we have who can defend. Just look at how many times we get exposed defensively and you will see the basics are missing.

We can only hope that happens because we never seem to have all our best players on the pitch at the same time.

Sam, no team in the league has its best players on the pitch at the same time regularly.
The only team that has enjoyed some semblance of health is Citeh, and it might be due to the fact that they are deep enough to rest starters as necessary, rather than run them into the ground.
I wouldn't be surprised if Ramsey misses the start of next season like Wilshere given how little rest he's getting.

Tonight, Capello must be thinking to himself that if he can get a Rooney, Wilshere and Oxlade-Chamberlain on a field, England could do some damage.
The problem for Oxlade though is that Rooney has potentially played the young man out of contention from the 23 due to his stupid ban.

neither theo nor gervinho wouldve been able to provide the assist the ox did. the kids a real footballer, kind of reminds me of a young rooney in his speed, build, and aggression

Think that's the most annoying aspect of his management too. It takes a long time to earn his trust and an eternity to lose it again.

The sad thing is that Oxlade's touch and skill aren't anything out of this world, but because the rest of our players struggle so much with the basics we are delighted to see someone like him.

He is but there's nothing special about controlling a simple pass and dribbling towards goal. Yet I find myself jumping up in excitement when he does it because our other players are unable to accomplish even these basic things.
