Just finished watching the Manchester City game aka the Aguero show. I looked at Aguero's quality on the ball and thought we're screwed. The difference between Aguero and, say, Gervinho, both of whom are forwards bought this summer is immense. That's the difference between spending 38m and 11m on a forward. I doubt we can afford someone like Aguero though, between the transfer fee and the wages.
It all just made me think that at some point we might need to just sell up to a Middle Eastern fund and give up this idea of competing fairly. It's noble but increasingly appears quaint
