in the last few years, one stat I hate hearing is that some team are on a bad run of results or have some longstanding poor record against us because of late it always seem to end when they play us. If we play like we did today against the small teams we can win the darn thing but we don't always.

It seems to be the way for alot of teams really. I'd rather play Wolves the week after they've earned 3 points than after they've lost.

Huge win today for us today, had we lost or drawn we were right in among Spurs, Chelsea and Newcastle but this has given us a little breathing space. The players responded very well after a loss which was good to see.

We've beaten 6 out of the top 10 teams in our last 10 games.

That's impressive whichever way you look at it.

As I said, it's still a pain to play them away. Six points into the relegation zone with six matches to play, they've got plenty of reason to try, a surprise result against us is exactly what they need.

Yep, Wolves have genuinely been dreadful but Wigan are one of the most unpredictable teams in this league. They can go months looking like a Championship team only to turn it on when they need a result.

Hopefully last weeks win against Liverpool is their shock result out of the way and we can hammer them like we usually do.

I really hope we smash Wigan. No team has been more useless in the last few seasns. They do nothing until the last two months when thy fight and scratch to stay up each season. Rubbish ground, small crowd. Off with them.

Its quite poetic how the two smaller derby teams (man shitty and spuds) had earlier in the season overtaken and were on top of the bigger sides(manure and arse) yet now at the business end of the season the two bigger teams have overtaken their smaller ones.

Not really, we lost because of two mistakes from Vermaelen.
Kos and Sagna have been our two best defenders this season, it was stupid of him to lunge in knowing the cost, no one would have blamed him if he just had a solid unremarkable game.

Technically we lost because of individual mistakes but we were looking at a draw at best even without Vermaelen's screwups. We just weren't playing well. We couldn't create much and we defended poorly as a team.

Kos's tackle today was really stupid though. Could very well have been a different color on the card that Atkinson showed him. It sort of pisses me off that he did it in this game too, where Balotelli got away with so much dangerous foul play.

the way we'e played at home lately, iI expect us to beat chelsea soundly. my concern is we look a different team away from home

And it might be a wise decision because on the weekend they play us, Barca will be facing Real with La Liga up for grabs.

I'll say one thing for this season, its alot more fun fucking up at the start and coming back from it than having your hopes raised only to be crushed after Christmas.
