Agree with Rohit completely. The funny thing is we have been on this border of having a great team a few times recently, but instead of putting the last pieces of the puzzle together we've gone backwards. Signing 1-2 quality offensive players will make us title contenders, I really hope Wenger doesn't pass this chance up.

If Spurs don't beat Sunderland they definitely wont beat Chelsea. If they hit a bad run like that confidence will drop and they wont have a hope.

i was hoping in early January. Could be late February before that young lad is effective. cannot afford to lose ground, especially with Gerv going to AFCON

Well we can't afford to sign a really expensive player just because he might be useful for a month or two either. It all depends on how and where you want to use Wilshere though.

You know my January target is Podolski. If he can give us anything more than Arshavin, then we have a replacement for Gervinho during AFCON. After that, he can get plenty of game time by covering all of Walcott, RVP and Gervinho.

Podolski would be such a sensible signing.

I don't think Podolski is a good backup for Robin, but I agree that he's a better player than Gervinho and Walcott on the left hand side. Theoretically at least. Would love to have him too.

He's not a perfect 9, Klaus, but if we were going to sign one player, I'd go for him. He'd give us the best combination of quality and ability to fill multiple needs up front amongst reasonable targets

He's blatantly not a centreforward though. Don't think he's better in that role than, say, Walcott is. But as a wide player he's got great potential.

I kinda like the rumours about Giroud otherwise. It might be a bit tricky to sign him in january since Montpellier are top of the league but we could probably get him in the summer for a (relativistically speaking) modest sum. Maybe we could offer them Squillaci too to keep the price down.

I don't know Klaus, i am not very convinced about Podolski out wide, he is in a different mould to both Gervinho and Walcott and while both of them can be improved upon, we need someone with exactly their traits, just with more ability.
