Does Wenger have a presser today?

The new kit doesn't look half bad here.

Something dodgy with the Swoosh.
You guys 100 percent certain that is the real shirt?

Just got home and stil no announcement. We don't usually annnounce on weekends so I guess we have to wait until next week. Annoying.

Only annoying for me because I had a bet we'd sign him on August 3rd, same date as the Henry signing.

As long as they can find someone left behind at Malaga to sign him over it's bound to be announced before the squad head to Germany next week.

August 10th. Mark my words. I'll even throw in this piece of exclusive information for good measue: He will appear in a red home shirt for his first photo shoot, not the striped away shirt. And his hair will be fairly short.

I'm fairly confident that there will be at least one picture where he's mysteriously misplaced his shoes. And that he'll be delighted to sign for us. Most likely he'll explain that he finds our style attractive, that Wenger is a major draw, and that he's confident of our chances of obtaining silverware.

His dog's got character

Definitely better than Almunia's hairy little rat dogs.

Why do footballers have such small dogs? If I was that rich I had massive dogs.

Lol, are they more expensive, big dogs?

Usually but more importantly they need more space, so loads of money > big house and garden > big dog. And if you're busy you can pay some lackey to walk it.

Yep some people think of a footballers money and dream of bling, bling and fast cars, I dream of having a bit of land to raise a few big dogs.

Shit thing if you travel a lot (and you want to take the but with you). These squeaky things go on the plane with you, big dogs - well, they don't
(Ive been traveling with my dog for over 15 years now; every time I have to do it it's a nightmare. And I didn't even begin to say what it is for the dog). So you pay again (someone to take care of the dog. But it sucks if it's a long trip, and you really care for the dog).

You mean the ones his wife used to wear? (remember them awful things? 😆 )

Apparently one of the youth players tweeted this: 'Good to see Santi Carzola at the training ground today #afc' before taking down his tweet.

Yep we can't have our new signing misspelled that badly by people connected with the club. 🙂

There is a confusion about who should sign whatever papers necessary to complete the Cazorla transfer and yet Rondon's transfer is already confirmed? Something doesn't add up.

We just take forever to announce things. Arsenal like everything to be 100% done. Meanwhile Rubin Kazan announced a deal had been agreed.

And then I woke up and it was all a dream...

Not worried at all about this, or exactly when it's announced.

And now FIFA.com have deleted the part about Cazorla to Arsenal.

So someone at Arsenal saw it att 11pm on a Sunday and demanded they cut it out?

Arsenal.com haven't even announced that Vela has left Arsenal. He is still on our player list 😆 How slow can we get?

his passport's still in the office

In mind it's done but if they don't announce it before the Koln game and he doesn't travel then I'll begin to worry.

My sources say it will be announced on August 10th.

So Klaus, is it fair to say you believe it'll be announced somewhere around August 10th?

Ah, you've heard whispers about August 10th too? A confirmation!

I'd retweet Yuv's confirmation if I was you Klausie.

Capital idea. It sounds like an awful lot of trouble to set up a Twitter account just to tweet a few rumorus, though. Maybe someone else will do it?

BBC's Ornstein on the deal

-Cazorla is with the team in Germany
-Likely to be announced tomorrow
-Cost less than 15 million pounds

Less than 15 million is too good to be true.

I see we still won't go past 15 million pounds for any deal 😆.

This makes me wonder who will be the player we break our transfer record fee on.

Believe it.
Malaga are in meltdown, they were desperate for cash.

Klaus - still convinced it won't be confirmed until the 10th? 🙂

Definitely! I expect some form of announcement tomorrow though. Perhaps a short article on Arsenal.com saying that we've agreed terms with the player and that he's been allowed to travel to Germany with the squad.

So excited about this - seems just right for us.

Chances are, he'll make his debut against Cologne, score a goal and in his post match interview Wenger will let us know that we've signed Cazorla. Arsenal.com will confirm it the day after...

Hmm... sounds like Arshavin travelled. We're stuck with him.

On a positive note, according to that article Squillaci was left home.

As was Bendtner.
