Ribery eh, shouldn't he be in jail for under aged sex.
The ugly face of professional football indeed.......
more AMs / Wide forwards plox, we obviously need more than our current crop of 12
Hazard would be perfect. If we can get him and recoup the fee by selling nasri if be fine with that.
Then if we do sell cesc, provided we use the funds to get banega or vidal and then make sure we get a cb I'll be fine
Linked to Shinji Kagawa and Joey Barton by bullshit websites. The former would be OK. The latter not so much.
Myles Palmer says we're after Jack Rodwell.

The Kagawa story was going well until they quoted the player.

If there's any truth in that, I reckon they'd sell in a heartbeat to raise the funds they desperately need - which doesn't say much for Rodwell.
ugh kagawa's another barca-lover.
We should buy zlatan
he wouldn't come here - we'd end his streak of winning the league.
Yep. He'd kill chamakh anyway.
i cant get over how bad he is. i cant believe we almost paid 8m for him!
Well we did go forgo signing a decent striker for 12 months to wait for him
Think he must be a poofter. It's the only plausible explanation for it. He has negative testosterone. Still probably badly affected by the snood ban

Now there is a pipe dream. We can´t afford his transfer fee, we can´t afford his wages, and we are not ambitious enough for him to choose us. Would be nice though! Zlatan at CF and RVP behind. That could work.
L'equipe says we've started talks with Shaktar over signing Jadson to replace Cesc... because ultimately, at 5'9", Fabregas was clearly too tall for us.
Jadson? Who the hell is Jadson?
A 5'6" brazilian.
Nice.
never heard of this jadson. why not take a look at ganso instead.
Obligatory youtube vid (only goals).
Made-up, how we plan to spend the Cesc money.
French papers reporting that we mid for Sochaux's Marvin Martin, but had our bid turned down.
(Le Parisien)
They are also saying we're interested in Andre Ayew.
(Equipe)
Scary stuff but I fully expect to be stunned by whoever we do sign now, if indeed we sign anyone.
Martin looks the business. Another brilliant name too...
Ayew I also quite like, though not really blown away by him. Far from convinced he's really the sort of level we should be looking at.
Seen next to nothing of Martin, but what I have seen hasn't impressed me all that much. If we're looking to spend some of the Cesc money in our feeder League, it's got to be Hazard we spend it on.
Are you just pinning your hopes on us signing a player who sounds as if he could be a wrestler Asa?
There's a buzz around Martin aright, he's attracted a lot of good press.
Sochaux are reluctant to sell him anyway so they will not let him go cheaply now that they know we have funds.
We could be asked to pay over the odds for a player that would still be risk at the level he'd be expected to produce.
Can't see Wenger going for that.
I think that will happen with any player that we're interested in now, unless we're targetting players with one year left on contract.
Pretty sure Martin's already asked to leave if a big club comes in for him.
Also, a lot of French fans I've spoken to want to see Martin playing for France instead of Nasri now.
For me, I'd take Martin, Jadson and Ayew in that order, and Martin's the only one I really want.
What is it about Martin that's impressed you Asa?
Do you not think he's just another with potential but hampered by not having any kind of experience at top level?
Definitely not what I had in mind in terms of a leader in our midfield who could take pressure and responsibility off of Wilshere and Ramsey.
Is he good enough for us?
I've seen little bits of him here and there and he really didn't look that good to me.
The name is good alright.
He's another one who's on the small side though.
What does Cesc bring that we'll miss most without him?
For me, it's creativity through the middle. Lots of good teams have fallen short because they don't have a player who can create anything when under the pressure that central midfielders have to deal with. For me, Martin can provide that, which is why I'm keen on him.
He wouldn't necessarily be my first choice. He's just a good player.
Really like Ayew but we can't have half of our midfield disappearing in January.
Goetze would be an epic signing based on everything I've seen of him but we'll back out as soon as there's a sniff of competition.
If we can Goetze for £20-25 million then it's great business. Unfortunately I think Dortmund will want more than that, especially at this late stage in the transfer window.
I agree Tim, and I just can't see Wenger shelling more than £25m out for ANY player.
Give them the whole £35m Cesc money.
