Grinning? What's he got to grin about?
After today's result.

If Nasri stays he won't buy another midfielder, and we desperately need to buy an authoritative, strong and controlling presence in MF.

If Nasri goes he may not buy one either.
We're damnded either way if Wenger stays in charge.

Yep and he honours his contract, is still willing to play for us and hasn't dragged our name through the rags for 2 years. He might not be as good a player as Cesc but I've alot more respect for him.

Tracked back, tried to dribble, and worked hard throughout the game, hasn't played very well though imo. I wouldn't mind him staying at the club.

Only at Arsenal: sell your captain who still has a few years on his contract (cheap too!) and keep a player whose contract ends next year. We have a circus of idiots running this club.

Things are so fucked up right now. This isn't something that crept up on us, or that we haven't known about since the end of last season. What was the plan to ensure Nasri signed? And what was the fall back plan in case he didn't? Gervinho? Miyaichi? Oxlade Chamberlain? WTF is going on at the club?

i get the sense we're scrambling now to find a top class CM and/or forward, as if we're shocked to find ourselves needing to go to the transfer market to find these players. THAT should've been our priority, not wasting time on chamberlain, jenkinson, etc.

This is what Wenger had to say about Nasri in an interview broadcast on Telefoot on French channel TF1

"He is happy here. There is no departure of Nasri at the moment,"
"Maybe one day, but it's far, far, far from being done."

I never believed the reported financial details of the Nasri to City deal, and as I see it, the fact that it's supposedly broken down over money just confirms my doubt. If he was really getting 200k a week, a £5 million signing on fee and City were willing to pay £20m+ for him, why would they decide to not grease his agent appropriately too? I'm sure the package was/will be a good one, but nothing like the stuff you see in the papers.
