City probably could use Fabregas more than they could Nasri. Yet they offered 25M for Nasri and nothing for Fabregas. You guys are living in Smurf land if you think that a club other than Barca was going to bid, or that Fabregas was going to stay until he was frustrated enough to say "I'll go anywhere." Even if you did manage to get 5 or 10 million pounds more from such a hare-brained scheme, it would come at too high a reputational cost
YEp because Fabregas was a selfish cunt who completely fucked us over. At least Nasri while being a selfish cunt isn't fucking us over. £25m for him is a great price. Almost exactly what we got for Cesc before add ons. And Cesc had loads of years on his contract. It baffles me how can people can stick up for Cesc in one breath and slate Nasri in the next. 2 cunts but Fabregas fucked us over more than Nasri.
Nasri's jumping ship at the first opportunity after 4 months of form. Cesc stayed 8 years and for 7 of those years played at an incredibly high level.
Sure, Cesc handled the transfer badly but these days it's very hard for a footballer to move on without any ill feeling. On the whole I'm grateful that we had a footballer of his quality play. Nasri, on the other hand, is a footnote.
I don't dislike or like either of them though. Making Nasri (and Adebayor) some kind of panto villain detracts from my hatred of the likes of Cole, Sheringham, RvN, Busquets and Barton.
