Strikers seem to all do well at the Toon now. Sort of like how Wenger has made sort of defensive mids look so amazing for us over the years.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Cesar Azpilicueta. Good player, I reckon he'll do well for them.

How much have they spent in the past two years? Must be close to 200m with very little money coming in from transfers?

Moses is a brilliant buy. That guy is going to be a world beater. Not at Chelsea though, because he won't get game time.

They can afford to take the hits on transfer fees and to occasionally subsidise the departing player's wages.

The best Chelsea can hope for from Moses is that he reaches Gervinho's level which makes this a very strange transfer.

Moses is someone who needs a bit of coaching and time put into him and there's a chance that he'll shine. This won't happen at Chelsea so, as far as I'm concerned, it's a bad move on his part.

Moses is as talented as it gets. I watched him quite alot last season and the way he beat defences time and time again is outstanding.

Final 3rd work needs to be nurtured abit more like what GM said, it won't happen at Chelsea so its a bad move. Then again he is a huge upgrade on Kalou though. They have one of their best ever squad now.

2012/13 (only one window, and the count doesn't include Victor Moses): £78.144.000
2011/12: £89.804.000
2010/11: £111.320.000

They've flogged players for about £20 million during the same time span.

:o Scary, somehow Chelsea have almost been forgotten because of the likes of Man City and PSG.

Looked a while as if Chelsea tried to be a bit more reasonable in the transfer market, but the signings of Torres and Luiz certainly changed that.
