From the outside, I can see how Ferguson expected Jones to fit in his defensive set-up: learn under Ferdinand with a view to fully replacing the ageing and increasingly fragile England defender.
I'm absolutely befuddled, however, as to how Wenger thinks about fitting Jones into our current mix of defenders. Does Jones go in as a starter? What then of Koscielny, Squilacci, Djourou? Is he depth? Who from the afore-mentioned 3 stooges starts then? We need some fucking clarity in the heart of defense. Get a fucking starter in there, Arsene, and then keep 2 of the stooges.
