I would say Mignolet is on par if not better than Szczesny.

Personally think Mignolet is overrated. Not really an improvement on Reina.

Beg to differ, think he is a huge improvement on the terribly awful Reina. He costed them quite a handful of points from just his own howlers past few seasons already.

I was under the impression that Liverpool was clicking into gear with that 2 striker formation towards the end of the season, scoring many goals and looking fluid with Coutinho the main playmaker.

Once we strengthen properly we should be aiming for at least top 3 though, different league from Liverpool.

We're they clicking really though? They had some big wins but was their form that much better? Until very late they were still dropping points all over the place, once the pressure was off they did a little better but still nothing amazing.

I think they'd need to keep Suarez and make serious investment to even try to crack the top 4.

I don't see it either. He will defo go on managing as long as he is healthy judging from what he seems to think about retirement. He seems completely obsessed by football. Also think he wants to see his project here to fruition.

It's just an idle theory of mine based mainly on the fact that I think having to sell both Fabregas and Van Persie broke him, looked to me like a man who was barely hanging in there for long periods this season just finished and the season before.
His health was visibly suffering.
It just feel like the real fierce fight is gone from him.

He may of course show up in July looking all rested, relaxed and bouncing into next season having secured Higuain, Fellaini and Rooney 🙂
That could help him recover.
