I for one think this is a very interesting match up. Khan's offense is top class, apart from the lack of a killer punch, and he is at least as fast as Mayweather.

Tendulkar announces his retirement from cricket after his 200th test next month. Absolute legend and certainly the best I've seen and probably 2nd only to Bradman of all time. Happy to have seen him live and make 80 odd in and ODI match at the Gabba years ago. Bit of a shame, was hoping to see him one more time when India tour NZ over the summer. Intresting to note that Jimmy Anderson has dismissed him more times in tests than anyone else with 9, ahead of Murali with 8 and McGrath with 6.

I lived in the time of Tendulkar.

One of the greatest in all sport. Cricket isn't as physically demanding, yet, his longevity is unparalleled. 100 centuries, 50,000 career runs, holder of most batting records, some incredible innings. I was at the CL T20 final which was Dravid's last game and Tendulkar's last T20. What an ovation both got.

His last Test will be emotional, I will be there and I can't wait for it.

So many of his innings I can replay in my mind, was looking forward to watching him in South Africa but that's not going to happen. In fact, I cancelled all my holiday plans to watch the series. Do you guys remember the Sharjah series? One of my favourite innings of his, so many to choose from.

I've lost so much interest in Indian cricket though, feel lucky to have watched such great batsmen play for India.

Tendulkar was an amazing player but this retirement is probably a couple of years late. For example, as enjoyable as it was to see his off stump flying out of the ground almost every time Anderson picked up the ball in the 2011 England series, it was also sad to see him when his reaction speeds were nowhere near up to scratch. He should've retired when Dravid and Laxman did.

For me, his most memorable knock was undoubtedly the 240* odd he hit at Australia in 2004. It was maybe his most boring too. But after a disastrous year (and the first bad spell he ever went through) and everyone - including myself- starting to say his time as the best was over, he hit a double hundred through sheer determination. Every shot was so careful that it didn't make for great watching, but it required a lot of balls at a time when the fickle indian watchers and the western world were questioning whether he had much left.

I remember staying up for most of the night watching that innings. Laxman at the other end taking the mickey, playing balls 3 feet outside off stump and smashing them through mid wicket.

Tendulkar is obviously an absolute legend, but just on a personal level he'd be behind a few others in terms of the best cricketers I've seen.

Yeah I always enjoy that. You'd think if you just bowled straight eventually a number 11 would miss one. But they continue bowling short and wide so they have a swing and score a few boundaries if they connect.

Hmm not sure what happened to the 2nd half of my post. But anyway, Laxman was always my favourite of that group of Indian batsmen for some reason. Maybe due to the number of times he did for Australia! Saw him score a wonderful hundred live in an ODI at the Gabba when he was on 99 (and India 299) on the last ball of the innings and he slogged someone over long on for 4. Brett Lee almost broke his own record for the worst Australian bowling figures in an ODI (2 runs short I think) and the vitriol aimed at him from the crowd around us was something else. The locals were furious Bichel wasn't in the side. Must have been about 2004, I guess it was part of the same tour Tendulkar scored that 240 odd on (he made 80 odd in this game). Dravid also came in and made 70 from 60 balls basically without hitting a boundary from memory.

Anyone watch UFC 166 on Saturday? The Sanchez Melendez fight was insane, i highly recommend you watch it if you can. Velasquez confirmed he's the rightful heavyweight champion. Pissed off i missed the Prelims because they were supposed to be great too.
