Imagine what Pakistan cricket could have been like if they had a proper home to play for the last decade; punchers type of a team these days, bringing the unexpected to the sport.

The last two English summers were quite glorious; shame the weather has reared its ugly head and for fans globally paying money to attend the tournament.

I think this score will be too tough to chase down.

Which is why you have this absurd format. So many dead rubber games in this tournament. A logical organizer would’ve given two leagues of 5, or expanded to 12 with 3 groups of 4 followed by quarterfinals. This is such an anticlimactic first round format

As for the format, it's been used before (1992) but i suspect money was the overriding factor.

You sir are a marvel. Yoh actually watch cricket on top of all the basketball, football (doesn't matter is it's Arsenal, youth world cups and italian football) you already watch and not feel drained.

LOL. No just following the scores. I physically don’t have the time. I haven’t watched any of the Copa/youth cups since last Tuesday. And haven’t really watched cricket in years. The basketball I consume in 20 minute highlight reels as I can’t do 2 1/2 hours of adverts and banal commentary for 48 minutes of game time at 4 in the morning.

Over the footie season, my sport comes down to Arsenal and select big games in Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga. And then about 10 live F1 races and the UFC/UFC fight nights the day after.

Lol. Ridiculous.
Interesting title fight. Surprised that after injuring Santos early, Jones didn’t look to move him around more to stress the injury and strike a lot. He got in about the fewest strikes he’s had since becoming a champion, albeit with higher accuracy. Nor did he attempt to take down his opponent. So the fight seemed to plod at times. A bit more tactical than the typical video game fighting we are used to seeing from Jones. Close call in the end for him. I’d like to see a rematch when Santos has healed.

Yeah a bit disappointing from Jones but I think you have to credit Santos here. Despite his leg / balance problems you could tell he was dangerous and extremely powerful. Jones was forced to play it smart - he could easily have been knocked out or badly hurt if he wasn’t as cautious. Would definitely like to see a rematch if possible.

Meanwhile Nunes was great as usual. All in all it was a top weekend of ufc fighting.
