Yeah I find it hard to believe someone who named their kid Chosen has got a rep for being arrogant.

The US have a proper rousing national anthem IMO. Don't really know anything about NFL, only that there seems to be a number of quarterbacks called Manning there is always at least one of them in the Superbowl. Usually watch the halftime show.

Very happy to see Peyton go out with another ring. He deserves it, if not for his play this season then certainly for his career as a whole. Carolina will be back in contention next year and beyond, how can you not with generational talents like Newton and Kuechly bossing each side of the field. As for Denver they may not get back to the Super Bowl for a while with their quarterback situation up in the air. I don't think Osweiler cuts the mustard.

Meanwhile, in basketball, GSW are having a historic season. They are 46-4, beating OKC the other night in a great game. Two days before that Steph Curry hit the Wizards for 51, off an amazing first half where he had 37.
I know the Timberwolves are losing a LOT of games this season, but I enjoy watching them despite that; their three 20 year olds Wiggins, Lavine and Towns are inconsistent but great to watch. If they can keep those three together the Timberwolves will soon be a force, because all those three kids are going to be all stars.

They shouldn't have problems keeping those 3 Rex, they are all under rookie contracts (and control after that). Are they your team?

I agree, it probably wouldn't have made much of a difference what QB played last night. Denver's defense would still have won the game for them. But going to the Super Bowl with average to straight up bad quarterback play like Denver have had this whole season is not something you can count on. For it to happen two years in a row would be incredible. I don't see anything in Brock Osweiler that makes me think this is a franchise QB in the making. Their defense is tremendous but it's unreasonable to demand miracles from them every week because your offense can't move the ball.

Can't say that I have a team. No real love since Jordan's Bulls, and been out of the loop completely for a long time. I enjoy watching the Warriors and Spurs the most, and also weirdly the Timberwolves. 🙂 Actually, it is mesmerizing watching the Warriors; they have such a deep squad of quality players, and the way they share the ball is great to see. Also think Draymond Green is a blast to watch.
Kobe has found some form again, which is nice to see. Would be nice if he could go out off of a good season.

Re Denver: I agree as well. This team reminds me of the 2000 Ravens which was carried by their defense and had a below average QB in Dilfer. I don't think they'll win a SB for a while unless if they somehow get a quality QB, which rarely exists nowadays.

Read somewhere that Manning becomes the first quaterback to win it with two different teams, is that really true? Not knowing much about the sport and coming from a football perspective, it seems unbelievable to me that no player had won it with 2 teams until now. Do star players just not switch between teams like they do in football?

Also how absolutely gutted did his brother look when he realised he'd won while the rest of the family were celebrating? 😆
