I underestimated the rift that has developed between Rick Carlisle and Rajon Rondo who basically quit on his team last night. He looked like he didn't want to be there and he definitely cost himself at least 40m dollars.

i wouldn't say that. a lot of good point guards historically haven't been good shooters. shit they use to call jason kidd, ason before he developed a jumpshot. he wasn't pointless in boston with the big 3. he's pointless in dallas because his weakness is too great for how they play and his strengths (running a team, defense, rebounding) aren't a big enough plus for them to change. especially the running the team bit because carlisle is a control freak and is calling plays all the damn time like this is college basketball or something.

I think the rest of that Boston team carried him. Or at least hid his weaknesses.

Bulls vs. Cavs will be a terrific match up. Both teams look strong atm.

I don't know about Rondo, feels like he never lived up to his potential and never bothered to improve his shooting. He was worse at free throws than Howard this year!

At Mavericks he looks like a shell of himself and when you talk about being an elite point guard he doesn't even look like top 15 at the moment. Although when he left the Celtics he led the NBA in assists and was averaging 7.5 rebounds which for a point guard is remarkable then he played for Carlisle who is tough guy and is not going to defer to Rajon Rondo.

Rondo's leadership abilities and being a floor general have never been consistent because of his mood swings. That was disguised because of the greatness of Doc Rivers combined with the greatness of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen who were the leaders of that Celtics team.
We know Kobe loves Rondo and maybe he will have a different behavior around him.

Anyone going to order Mayweather v Pacquiao? I've lumped on Mayweather at 4/9. Was expecting him to be around 1/3 or even 1/4.

Another bet that has caught my eye is Rafa at 2/1 for the French Open. I can guarantee he won't be that price in a few weeks time. Its an unbelievable price considering he has only failed to win it once in his whole career.

I will and I'm going to place a bet on Floyd Mayweather winning by KO in one of the last three rounds.

Pacquiao has a real problem against boxers who make him think. Mayweather has shown the ability to make adjustments out of necessity against Castillo, Judah or Mosley and I believe it will take him 3 or 4 rounds to adjust to Pacquiao’s feints, angles, speed and footwork. What makes the fight interesting is Manny's footspeed which enables him to close the distance pretty fast, his crazy fast paced combination punching and the fact that he is a southpaw which makes Floyd's shoulder roll less effective.

Mayweather by UD. Shame the fight didn't come until after their primes, when both were at their best I think Pacquiao could have given Floyd a run for his money.

I think it would have been more explosive a few years ago as old age has slowed them both down but i still think it will be a classic.

If the fight goes to distance it wouldn't surprise me to see an unfair decision. Politics have been in play with Mayweather v Pacquiao for 6 years and there's no reason for me to think they won't be in play on May 2nd.

haven't been following any eastern conference playoffs, just assumed the cavs would come out of the east. how's d rose looking?

DRose looks as if he's getting it going, he was excellent in Game 1 & Game 3. He is slowly regaining his confidence. In Game 3 he dived after loose balls and had the guts to go to the basket, that was vintage Rose. It's no wonder that his displays have been inconsistent, the man had three knee surgeries in three years. Now the Bulls had two full days to recover for Game 6 and close out the series.
