I know nothing about cricket, but I am right in understanding from your comments that the English cricket team is as big bottlers as the English football team? Is this an English character flaw?

Pretty much. Basically the match was completed in half the time it was supposed to take. A day/night match typically starts at 2pm and finishes around 9.30-10. You're not supposed to be home for dinner but I was home before 7. Second time it's happened to me watching England. The first was against Australia in Adelaide in 2007 on Australia Day. Never thought I'd see as bad as that again but this was worse today. Only the group stages but it was probably the cricket equivalent of Germany 7-1 Brazil.

Unless i misunderstand the term, "bottler", that's not true.
We are shit and were beaten by two better sides.
This has been true of our football team as well.
