Have a good friend who is a Chelsea fan and surprisingly not an obnoxious one so I pay close attention to them. They definitely have forwards that can hurt us and I'm a huge fan of Joao Pedro's game. I wasn't a believer in him at Brighton, mostly because I didn't think he had the consistency and since he seemed to be not really a striker but also not a 10. He's a handful now but I think Konsa/Gabriel can handle him. I also think we will just be a completely different proposition to them as a defense. Fulham was a joke and left enormous gaps to exploit and Brighton lost control of the game from the start, as well as being shorthanded. Let's see how free flowing that front 3 is when confronted with our defensive unit - I'm confident we can put the clamps on them.
The area that teams keep exploiting on the attack against Chelsea is their left side. Colwill has looked quite suspect at the back, especially with any ball in behind. He also probably should have been sent off at Fulham. Hato has looked solid but he isn't the most aggressive of defenders and sometimes errs far too much on containing instead of denying space. Rogers has also been pretty lax in tracking back, although I expect that will be different in this game. I think the complex movements we have had with White, Saka, Odegaard and Havertz can really exploit those spaces and I hope we start Bruno so we can free up Odegaard to be a pockets player and less concerned with the buildup. I also think Calafiori and Eze can really exploit Neto and potentially Palmer having to track back to defend.
