I'd love to see us improve in attack but don't think - with the exception of someone like Vini - that the solutions are going to come from the transfer market. We need internal improvement IMO.

This is wrong in principle. Our overall defensive strength makes us potentially more resilient to the loss of a key defender. Imagine what happens to Liverpool when VVD goes out. If City lose Rodri they're going to be in trouble, no matter how well Haaland plays.
Even so, I think Saliba may be our single most important (difficult to replace) player because of his role in bringing the ball forward.
