PSG could have two horses playing fullback and they would still win the league. It’s easy for them to share minutes and see a drop off from first choice to second.
With White we have someone who isn’t that far from Timber. Unless, he’s demanding to leave, it’s a great luxury to have.
I just don’t get why people are always so ravenous for players to leave who might not be living up to their original first choice purpose but are still good options in the squad.
This is the first season where I genuinely felt there weren’t that many wasters in the squad. Kepa definitely, Norgaard sure (but apparently he was a leader behind the scenes) and that’s it. There maybe a case for Madueke but despite some issues, we won a league with Saka being far from his best and that is partly due to Madueke being good enough of a floor raiser.
Fuck letting go of players aside from trading a couple to raise the ceiling and let’s go again. We were in for a fucking quadruple ffs and that’s because of the squad.
