First, I love how much aura our team has. Guys like Timber, Rice, Saka, Eze, MLS are all impressive with media.
Second, I’m glad they’re going after the haters. We’ve really been living in a bizarre era where rivals and many of our own fans decided that they’d completely ignore all the effort, ingenuity and talent; and criticise us being insipid and dependent on set pieces. Even here, we’d have guys comment 3x a game “this is boring/awful” or obsess about sacking the manager and selling half the team. These are young men. I’m sure they read all this crap when they’re not playing PS5. And I’m impressed that they used this as fuel rather than collapse under the negativity. This is a special group.
