JazzG it was honestly unreal. Unannounced, zero planning, on a random Tuesday. It was like a carnival on steroids.
Like most of you, I’ve seen us win 3 titles before but I never seen celebrations like this. 2004 hardly anyone batted an eye lid as we were so used to winning trophies. 2002 was nothing compared to last night. 1998 I was actually in the Gunners pub to watch us win the league/cup double but at 13 years old I can’t remember being anything like yesterday.
I’m sure like others, my friend and I didn’t even plan to go to the stadium. Was watching in a bar in Central London but as soon as Bournemouth scored we got an Uber from Piccadilly to the Bank of Friendship pub (near the stadium). When the final whistle blew I saw grown men crying and sobbing, I’ll never forget. The rest is history.
If we win the fucking CL the whole of goddamn London will be shut down.
This Sunday, weather will be 27 degrees in London, bank holiday weekend and will watch Arsenal game in North London. If Spurs get relegated….
Haters on WhatsApp have been dealt with as well. As someone said to me at HT at the Burnley game, the next few weeks are going to be biblical.
